Who is a local unsung hero that even at a young age, has the bravery to put themselves on the line for a cause?  The Brave Nation Young Activist Award was designed to celebrate a next generation of progressive activism.  Too often the younger generation is overlooked and not given the recognition they deserve.  There are many awards designed to celebrate the activists that have helped to build our country to the Brave Nation it is today, this award designed to recognize activists taking us into the future.

We hear on the radio and television and see on the Internet everyday about celebrity activists like those celebrated in This Brave Nation, but we know there is a entire community of unsung heroes that go without mention everyday. Those are the people we want you to tell us about. in the submission form below.   Here are the rules:

1. The nominee must be 30 years of age or younger.
2. You must currently reside in the United States (but not necessarily be a US citizen)
3. Submissions should be made below.
4. Submissions must be received by June 27, 2008 11:59 pm.
